O Grupo de Pesquisa em Cibercidades (GPC), criado em 2000, reune pesquisadores interessados na discussão sobre comunicação, cibercultura, mobilidade e espaço urbano. A sua principal função é formar pesquisadores em níveis de Iniciação Científica, Mestrado e Doutorado. O GPC atua na linha de pesquisa "Cibercultura" do PPGCCC-Facom/UFBa e é coordenado pelo Prof. Dr. André Lemos
